Welcoming Hearts is a non-profit organization* founded in 2015 by a group of parents wanting to have a direct impact on children, families, professionals and the community as they navigate the journey through life with a loved one with special needs (VIPs). Our VIPs are those with any physical, cognitive, medical or hidden disability, chronic or life-threatening illness, or those who are medically fragile with an onset prior to age 22. We are an organization made up of volunteers and our goal is to promote inclusion, understanding and acceptance.
Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for all individuals with special needs by providing information and support to individuals, families, professionals and the community, through education and social settings.
Our vision is to create an environment where people with special needs are included in every facet of the community.
